I've decided to start again:
I've created a new blog http://gothic-liz.blogspot.com/ about my weightloss. If you wish to follow it, you can. I just needed something fresh to start anew. This journal feels cluttered and I feel a bit like a failure by having gained so much weight. Time to get serious again and learn to say NO!

Erm, still obsessive
Ah, I'm still being obsessive about my weight loss and I actually gained this week: 600g. Back to 65.5. It's that time of the month but 600g is a bit steep. I managed to stick to my points for 2 days in a row. Omg! How amazing. I am stressing about Sunday because we are going to the ball and chain grill and while I'll be having a nice eggy frittata with salad - I'm worried I'm going to blow them when I am trying so hard. Do you think that 10 points would be enough allowance for that? Hmmm I think that's what I'll say it is.
I also had a really good work out on Monday at the gym. For step, I reached the zone where you're thinking that you can't keep going but suddenly the second wind starts and you have the MOST amazing work out you could ever imagine. I also did a pump class before hand and stuck up my weights for back (10kg now) and with chest (9kg) I acutally managed to do the whole exercise without having to drop my weights back. I'm getting to be one tough cookie!
Karina how are you going? You must be close to surpassing me in your weight loss!!!
xxx
p.s. 6.5 weeks until I head to Sydney. WANT to have a shopping spree and buy new clothing. You would think this would be motivation enough lol!
p.p.s still trying to eat more naturally but so failing. Can't help but want my mint patty.

Another day
Yesterday I ended up being so fecking evil! I had 2 scopes of ice cream (8 points). 2 x slices of toast (4 points), handful of nuts (2.5) and a veggie patty (3 points)... oh and someone gave me an easter egg (4ish points)... so yeah very fecking evil. I didn't eat dinner... but it certainly didn't cover that (it is about 36 points - have to make up 16). I've had a crap week and I decided to fix it with food - how fabulous of me.
I think we can safely say my exercise points are used up and it's time to start creating more. So

4th day of 7
I again slightly went over my points yesterday. I was so famished when I got home from the gym I couldn't restrain from smacking. But I went to the gym so I should be ok.
I've decided not to weigh myself today, but I will check tomorrow morning. It's always the weekends where I fall down. So... menu for Thursday:

3rd day of 7
I didn't quite stick to my points yesterday. I went over about 1.5 but that's fine if I don't do it every day. Although I do have a few bonus points from Monday nights gym session. Yesterday I didn't quite make my 12km walk. I only made 6 (had a bad day at work and just wanted to get home). Otherwise weigh in this morning again showed me love - another 400g down. 64.7kg. Woohoo! Much more acceptable but still nothing to gloat at. I really do want to make 60kg. So yeah
In summary:
Current weight: 64.7
Weight loss: 800g
Weight to next goal: 1.7kg
Weight to GOAL: 4.7kg

2nd day of 7.
Well the scales showed me love this morning - 400g down. Woohoo! I'm hoping for a kg loss by Monday (fingers crossed yo). I stuck to my points yesterday (well I ate 20 of them) and I did a double class at the gym. So I think I'm pretty good. Just gotta last today (a day at a time!).

Fucking up still... goddamn it!
*sigh* 65.5. I'm now too heavy for maintenance excepted weight. What the fuck is up with me? I have to stop this. 2.5 kg is not an acceptable amount of weight to lose. I obviously need to weigh in every day. Right. If there is no post from me for the next 7 days I give you permission to kill me. Oh yes... permission. So reflecting back. My exercise was perfect! I went for a bush walk and everything. What wasn't perfect was the indian I ate last night for dinner and the noodle box on Friday night. And all the bloody alcohol I drank on Saturday night (I was very drunk) I knew I shouldn't have eaten out... but I did. I feel so out of control. How could I lose weight so beautifully for 6 months only to not maintain it now?
Anyhow today's menu will be:
Breakfast:
Yoghurt 1
Fruit 1
cornflakes 1.5 = Total 3.5
Morning tea:
Carrot 0
Fruit Salad 1.5 = Total 1.5

I've been good!
Yes I've been a good little chicken the last few days. Stuck to my points so I better record a loss. I checked this morning and I was already down 400g. I haven't exercised very much though. It's the weekends that are tough. I'll have to behave myself at the wedding on Saturday and try not to eat too much...
In other news, I cancelled my ww membership. It finishes on the 8th. So that's a bit of a plus. I'll save $25 a month. Maybe I can put that money away to buy things that I like and need - such as clothing! My wardrobe is so tiny now. I have to keep throwing out my clothing. I've held onto some stuff and suffer if I forget to put on a belt (like the jeans I'm wearing today *laughs*). One thing about being skinnier is that I feel the cold even more easier than I used to. How am I going to survive a Tassie winter?
Omg! I have found the most amazing brand of indian bottled sauces. A butter chicken sauce for 1 pt per serve and half the bottle is 2.5!!! I'm so excited!!! Loooove Indian... ooooh and just to ramble some more, I made a fabulous basil and chili stir fry last night. It was delish! Didn't know I could cook like that *laughs*.

WW um week something. I can't keep up.
Aaagggh Fuuuuck. I screwed up big time this week. Gained about 700g. I'm now 63.9kg. Shiteful. Well you get what you put into it.
In other news, I am going to cancel my ww membership. I'll be sad to lose etools (cos they work quite well). But I can't really afford to keep paying out the money for something I'm using just to track and create recipes. I can do that at home. I just need to be weekly diligent again. Actually I just need to be diligent again anyway. I wonder why I'm finding it so hard to stay healthy at the moment? I'm hoping this time I really am back on track. I just have to learn to be good again.
I've been baking like crazy recently. I've made bread and muffins, pumpkin soup and fruit salad. Although, discovered that part of my blender is missing and I need to buy another one... again (this is about the 5th). I'm rather pissed off about that. Actually I'm really incredibly pissed off that a piece went missing. If I have to buy a blender every time I make hummus or pumpkin soup, it turns into very expensive soup.
Anyhow I should go get ready for work. I want to be there early this morning (if I make up 1.5 hours, I can take off Friday afternoon - and I REALLY want that).

Well I just had a freak out eating moment. I haven't done that in a very long time (like 3 years). I just compulsively ate for about 30 minutes. Chocolate, nuts, bread. You name it - I did it. Thankfully I had walked for 2 hours today so I think I should be fine point wise... but jesus! What is happening to me?
I have to be more controlled. I obviously need to eat something before dinner and after work because I think it is really hungry hunger that is making me do it. BAHBAHBAH!

Random post! Just cos I can...
There is a pretty good chance that my updates may become more regular now I know that 2 people are actually reading my blog *laughs*.
Well I thought I might report on some good I've been doing lately (rather than focus on the negative). Okay good things:
- Exercise! I walked 90 minutes (fast walk) on Monday. I also attended pump where I stuck up my weights on EVERY track. Consequently (and most awesomely) they now hurt a LOT! I didn't even know where my arms disappeared to after the bicep and tricep track. Totally numb. Tuesday I was a bit norty... I drove to work instead of walk, but I did stand for 2 hours grinding stones... I think that has to count for something. Tonight (Wed), I attended the Step launch - sweated like nothing else. I definitely know I got a good work out.
Tomorrow I'm planning to walk to and from work (2 hours, 10 minutes). Friday I'm going to attend pilates (and probably walk for 90 minutes again), and then Sunday I will go to pump again. So yes! I think I have the exercise covered.
- I've been a very creative chicken and am loving lapidary. Hell yes I love lapidary. Who knew I would get pleasure out of grinding stones and polishing them. I certainly didn't. I have a red one on the go which I think will look fabulous once polished. The bonus to doing lapidary is that I stand for 3 hours while doing it. Woohoo!
Only two points of good. I think that is better than no points. I'm trying to be much more healthier by cutting out the processed crap from my diet... well I did eat half a freddo frog today and gluten (yes, I'm scratching right now), but it was home made bread - that totally counts right!
Negatively, I am unhappy with how Weight Watchers treat their online members. It seriously is a case of pay to use the website, but once you stop you have nothing NOTHING (it needs extra emphasis), to be able to track anything. Thankfully they are willing to sell the point books to online members. Once I get them I'll cancel my membership. Sux that we can't get life time membership. BAH!
Well I should probably go scratch my eczema some more (and get told off for it).
Night!

Weigh in day - maintenance wk 6
Well after my disasterous week of eating everything in sight... I only gained 100g. 63.4kg is what I am now. I can't believe though that I've managed to keep my weight fairly stable (within half a kg for 6 weeks). It is a good feeling. As I have mentioned before though, I really want to get lower. I'm just not as happy (as I first was) at this weight.
62 kg here I come :D.

Can't stop eating
My god. What is happening to me. I'm falling off the wagon big time. I've snacked 9 points today. 9!!! That's absolutely disgusting. Some of it was biscuits and cake. What is wrong with me? Why has my motivation seemed to have died in the arse? I can't believe it. I'm going home and I'm throwing out the biscuits that Luke's mother made for me. I'm getting proper snacks. PROPER! None of this gluten stuff. Gonna behave myself when it comes to snacking. Make sure I know the points. I don't mind over eating on fruit, but when it comes to cakes, I know I'm being naughty.
I'm also going to plan my meals for a fecking week. A whole week. While I can have 23 points a day, I'm going going to do 20. I'm still trying to lose a bit more weight. My goals for the next few months include:
Goals:
62kg - New Jacket from Target. I can't it until I reach 62kg. I WANT that jacket.
61kg - Not sure yet.
60kg - Not sure yet.
I think the closer I am, the more I have to make my goals smaller. I have 3 goals. 3! I really am wanting to drop just a little more weight, and I'm happy to do it incredibly slowly i.e. at 20 points of food slow.

Gluten intolerance?
Well I went to the doctors today to get the blood test to find out if I have coeliacs. I have to be eating gluten for a month to get the blood test done. So I have to figure out how to eat gluten again and incorporate it with my weight watchers. The only things I can think of is YAY for rolls, but bah if I get bad eczema and stomach craps and shit like that for a month. There was also a real link with me giving up gluten and losing weight - so as you can imagine I'm not that excited by it. I actually really like eating a fairly gluten-free lifestyle. Although there are some advantages like saving on my bills and being able to eat a salad roll. A SALAD ROLL!!! But at the same time I just can't imagine eating that much gluten. It is actually fairly easy to avoid.

Compulsively weighing still
Hmm so I'm still compulsively weighing myself. Just goes to show how seriously I take gaining now. Anyhow today I weighed 62.9kg. Not too bad since I'm about to start TTOTM and it is here with a vengeance this month (cramping already - I still don't understand why I need a uterus - I don't plan to use it). BAH!
I'll use this weight for Monday. I'm going away for the long weekend and wont be near a computer until Monday night. It's probably not going to be that low by monday but it's the closest I have to a weight.
Bleuugh. I feel like crap. I want to go home.

being dramatic!
Okay so this is why you should only weigh yourself once a week. I dropped 700g in a day. So now I'm back below my goal weight - thank god!
So hopefully tomorrow will show the same and then I'll stop being obsessive compulsive about my weight. Geez!

annoying body
Well I weighed in again this morning. It's becoming a morning compulsion. Gained another 100g and I was really good with my points. I'm starting to get a bit worried about the gains. We'll see if the week lasts the same way but I'm not sure what to do about it if I'm sticking to my points. Maybe it is still throw back from the 2 bad weeks... I just don't know.
Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

wi 26
Well it appears that the pizza and cake and other naughty goodies are catching up with me.
GAINED: 500g!
Bah so now I'm 63.3kg. It's actually kinda interesting. I thought going over my weight would result in a big NO! from weight watchers, but instead I actually got a fairy good message. It said that gaining weight was part of the normal maintenance process while I figure out my food. To lose it, just use the skills you already have to drop that gain! So that made me feel alot better. I have been pretty lax with my points this fortnight.
Also, there is some fabulous info on the ww site about maintenance and lifetime membership, here it is:
To become a Lifetime Member
You will need to:
- Join Weight Watchers Meetings
- Lose a minimum of 5 kilograms
- Get to your Goal weight within your Healthy Weight Range
- Complete the six-week Maintenance program
- Be within 2 kilograms of Goal weight or lower by the end of your Maintenance programWeight Watchers will then award you Lifetime Membership status.
This means:
- You never have to pay a Registration Fee again.
- You do not have to pay a weekly Meetings fee, provided you are
no more than 2 kilograms above your Goal weight.
- 10% discount off all In-Meeting products such as Weight Watchers Cookbooks and snacks.

There are some things they don't tell you tho. So it's fabulous if you attend meetings etc, not so fabulous if you are online. You still need to pay to use the online tools. Granted it is cheaper, but you still need to pay. The real advantage is for those who attend meetings - I'm not sure how I feel about that... kinda annoyed really.
um in other news, since I can be within 2kg or less of my goal weight, I think I'll aim for 59kg. I'm not quite as happy with my body as I thought I would be. I would like to drop another dress size. So I guess I'm back to losing (4.3kg to go).

WI 25 and weddingness
Karina, This post is mostly for you. I think you are the only person who reads my blog *laughs*.

Anyhow the boring bits first. I managed to maintain my weight. Such a miracle. I have eaten like a pig the last three days so I'm going to have to start behaving myself... tomorrow! I want more wedding cake lolz! I'll put the cake photo here :D:D:D. There is a great video of luke and I cutting it with a sword. You might need a facebook account to view it... I'm not sure tho: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=65188549103

So here are the photos. I hope I don't put too many on here because I'm going to have trouble chosing just a few. The day was fabulous, the weather stayed away pretty much all through the reception and ceremony. It rained right at the end and we had to pack up really fast *laughs*. I'm also incredibly sun burned. Most importantly though, people said I looked beautiful (and thin hehe).
My friend Loretta took our photos. She has done such a fabulous job!

My bridesmaids who are my sisters: Bec is on the left, Caroline on the right.

Aww me and Luke kissing... just what you wanted to see lol!

WI 24??? I think
Hey All,
Well I managed to maintain. I kind of cheated though. I weighed myself yesterday morning and had lost 200g and then I weighed myself today and had gained 500g so I ran around for 10 minutes and re-weighed myself and I had lost 300g. So technically I maintained. I just want to get my 6 weeks for life membership. I want to stop paying for weight watchers. In saying that though, I managed to maintain my weight through hens night and birthday (although I reckon that 500g is from m&ms and popcorn lol). I also know I lost more weight during the week. I guess that might be my secret to success. If I know I'm going to have a big week, I should stick to my 20 points (instead of 23) and then have a slightly bigger night than normal (or in this case 2).
I need to get to work, but 5 days to the wedding. Woohoo!

WI23
I reached goal today. I lost that mofo weight but I feel disappointed. I went out drinking last night and I know it could have been more under goal weight if I hadn't. Eh, 600g loss is nothing to sneeze at. It just means I will do the weight loss plan for another week and then go onto maintenance next week. I just don't want to sit on 63 as my goal, I would like it to be a bit more under that.
On the other hand, I have a very interesting fortnight ahead of me.
Next weekend is:
- Fri: My hens night
- Sat: Valentine's day (we're going out for dinner)
- Sun: My Birthday
Then the wedding is the weekend after. So I think maintenance is going to be interesting.
So in summary, I get a fucking corset from gallery serpentine and I'm 63 KILOS!

25 random facts
I put it on facebook, might as well do it on blogger :D
RULES: write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you. (To do this, on your page, paste these instructions in the body of the note, type your 25 random things, tag 25 people.
1. I'm getting married very soon. You know when people would ask you when you 'At what age will you get married?' I always said 24. Well I was close.
2. I had a pet lizard called Orion. I named him after the constellation.
3. Above fact was definitely influenced by my desire to be an Astronomer.
4. I then wanted to be a Zoologist when I growed up - I still do. At least I have the degree. I really want to work with reptiles.
5. Those who haven't known me very long... haven't seen me at my heaviest. I used to weigh 90kg. I recently discovered my scales were out be 2kg. So I was probably more.
6. I used to believe my toys would come to life every time I left the room. Then they made Toy Story - it proved me right!
7. I have a cross dressing cabbage patch kid. I got given a boy called 'Johnathan' but I wanted a girl, so I bought him a dress and renamed him Susan.
8. I've seen 3 ghosts in my life. I suspect it might be 4 , but I can't be sure on the 4th.
9. I had 2 pet chickens called Celeste and Flora. I named them after characters from Babar
10. I used to name my pet sheep after Greek deities.
11. Bec and I would recite the entire lion king movie. We each had characters to play. We knew every word and every sigh. It made long trips more interesting
12. My biggest life goal is to go to Japan and live there. I always thought I wanted to teach English over there, but now I wonder if I can go as a Librarian?
13. I have dreams that come true... well I did as a teenager/child. It hasn't happened since I joined the real world.
14. My favourite deity is Thoth... yes, I have a favourite.
15. I have a tattoo of a skink on my foot.
16. I used to have a reoccurring dream about being a unicorn. I plan to write it into a kids story one day. I just have to improve my drawing skills.
17. I have a secret desire to be a tattoo artist. Librarian by day, tattoo artist by night. I really need to start drawing again.
18. I once stopped eating for 3 weeks. It seemed like a good idea at the time...
19. My eye sight is appalling. I can't see very much without my glasses on. I want laser eye surgery
20. I really want to get my motorbike license.
21. I once was asked if I was a Japan-ophile in a job interview... that was after the interviewer found out I did Kendo and watched anime. His next question was 'Do I like Sushi?' then 'Are you a Japanophile? Obviously there is too much of a good thing.
22. My favourite band is Tripod and I still laugh at their jokes even though I've heard them a million times.
23. I was born on a Wednesday. That makes me a child full of woe. Damn those Wednesday children.
24. Once a bird alerted to me that a sheep had fallen over in a paddock and couldn't get back up. It was a very strange experience.
25. When I'm nervous, I touch my face a LOT! Particularly by putting my hand under my chin/on my neck and leaving it there.

WI 22
I gained 200g. Whoops! I am so close to goal too. Damn it! I dunno what happened. I know what I need to do tho. I need to track religiously. I must of eaten too big of serves, drunk too much diet soft drink instead of water. Get back to basics - isn't that what they say? God I even exercised my arse off - literally! I have no arse anymore lololol! Why am I awake so early? The evil world of work calls.
Well I'm enjoying the ww fruits of the forest jam. It is so yummy! Oh yesterday I did so much baking. I made the stuffed capsicums! I'm definitely making these ones again. I also made GF pumpkin scones - 2 points per scone. So that was cool. The pancakes really were yumm-o. It was nice to actually have the time to cook something.
Anyhow the usual summary:
CW: 63.6kg
to GOAL: 600g (damn so close).
Time to get ready for work.

*le sigh*
And I wonder why I gain weight...
I had the best BEST lunch today.
Gluten Free pancake mix 3.5
Mixed fresh berries 0.5
honey 0.5
WW vanilla icecream 0.5 (2 tsp)
WW mixed berry jam 0.5
Total 5.5 points and a very scruptious lunch! Yummo! We're thinking stuffed capsicums for dinner... wooooo!
Expecting a gain
I have weigh in tomorrow, it's not going to be pretty. I checked my weight yesterday morning and it said I was 600grams heavier. I'm a little confused that it was so much. TTOTM isn't for another week so hmmm... I was wondering if it was because of the heat I was drinking more liquid? I did eat over my points a few days, but nothing more than usual...
Oh well so tomorrow I"ll accept a gain. I hope that by tomorrow I can at least make it a smaller gain. I'd rather it be 400g than 600g... although the scales don't look promising this morning. I'll try and keep my points under 18 today, that might help somewhat.

Gym this morning
Well apart from not being able to feel my triceps for the rest of the day, I did something rather stuuuupid at the gym. I went into the girls bathrooms and they're filled with mirrors (as in see reflections of other mirrors in another mirror type thing). Anyhow I was walking through and i caught a glimpse of someone else in the room with me. It surprised me because I didn't think anyone else was in there. Then it dauned on me that the person was me (reflected from one of the other mirrors). *head desk* I didn't even recognise myself in the mirror. Now that is stupid. As a plus, I thought I was skinny lol!!! So skinny it wasnt me.
Just goes to show that my brain of how I think I look, doesn't match up with how I actually look. I better do something about that.
WI 20
GAH! I lost .4kg. So still doing my loss aspect of my journey. I'm actually surprised I even managed to lose this week at all. I gorged myself last night and I did shit all exercise for the week. So to be honest I'm actually wondering how I managed to lose... Oh well, if I behave myself this week I'll have reached goal next week.
One of the reasons I've been not behaving myself this week is that I have a really big cold sore, feeling incredibly tired (lethargic to the full) and just general blahness. So I decided to eat more to increase my energy levels. I hate the fact that I have a cold sore and it doesn't seem to be going away.
I should write more but I'm going to the gym! Pump class woooo!
So in Summary
Current weight: 63.4kg
Loss: 400g
Goal: 400g

wedding dress
This is mostly a special treat for Karina! You go girl! You are flying through your weight loss - I'm so proud of you. So your special treat is really me showing off my wedding dress. I got it today and this is me in it. It's my first attempt at getting a corset on me, it's not quite tight enough so ignore the boobie issue I have going on.

So I lost .9kg! Woohoo! That puts me at below 64kg. I can again say I'm the lightest I have been for YEARS! *laughs*. With how much success I've had with weight watchers, it makes me wonder why I didn't start it sooner. Soo 800g to go. I have to say I'm starting to feel impatient about the final loss. During this whole journey it was all about taking my time, doing it slowly, whatever happens... now I'm like 800g melt off me right NOW!!!!. It'll probably take 2 weeks lol.
So in summary:
Lost 9oog
Current weight: 63.8kg
Weight loss to goal: 800g (but realistically would like to be under that a little).
Woohoo!

BBQs suck balls sometimes
Bah my hunnies meant well when he organised a BBQ late afternoon for lastnight. But it has been hugely bad on my points and I don't have many bonus points this week because I've had to drive to work so I can make up time (we're allowed to work 7 to 7), but because I have things in the evenings I've been getting there early. Everything was really point unfriendly. He bought veggie burgers that probably contain gluten but I have no idea of what points value they are. There was cider (2 pts, so not so bad), eggs and he cooks everything in oil. He's a skinny bastard (lol) so oil or cider or burgers don't matter to him. I reckon I've gone over about 6 to 7 points and that's just from estimating the burgers being 2.5 points (they're probably more esp. since coles make them). It's well meaning but just so bad timing. I think today is going to have to be the last day I drive. So I'm just going to have to get up at 5.30 so I can be at work by 7.30... *le sigh*.
I better get ready to go to work.

WI 18
Lost .5kg. I'm actually disappointed I expected more, but I had a freak out eat everything in sight moment at the end of the week, so I should be happy with just .5kg.
I still haven't quite lost my Christmas gain. I still have 300 grams to go. I guess that is why I am disappointed - I really wanted it gone. Oh well. But!!! it does mean I can get my tattoo. I actually can have it - now that is exciting. Just gotta wait for the dosh and get something meaningful to me.
Omg, that just reminds me. I was in a shop the other day (with Luke) and this guy openly checked me out... ahahahahaha. I've never noticed that before. Although his checking out was straight to my boobs. I was wearing my work clothes so that felt a little disturbing.
In summary:
Current weight: 64.7
Loss to next goal (which is GOAL): 1.7
GOAL: 1.7kg

Lost .6 kilos. So I only have .9 of my xmas/new years gain to lose to be really happy with myself again. I really hate being over 65 kilos. I'm currently sitting on 65.2 kg so I'm hoping next weigh in will have me under it. Good thing I didn't get that tattoo hey:P
In summary:
Current weight: 65.2
Loss to next goal: .2
Loss to GOAL: 2.2kg
Oh I'm so close!!! I'm hoping the end of Jan.

Xmas - new years horror train wreck.
Ah, I weighed myself this morning 1.5kg gain. It's disappointing, but manageable - we'll see how big of a dent I make in it by Monday.
South Australia was lovely. Luke's family was lovely. Really hate the crowds in Melbourne though. I bought a lovely chalice for the wedding (52 days and counting - gah!!!). Food was rather interesting. Luke's family had enough trouble coping with me being a vegetarian, and couldn't understand the gluten intolerance. I ate ALOT of gluten. Did you know that potato salad is a staple vegetarian meal food *laughs*? Seriously though, Luke's Grandma is a godsend in the Kitchen (hence the extra 1.5 kilos). Seriously amazing at making food - she could be a chef and she's all self-taught.
Happy 2009 everyone! Do we have any new years resolutions out there?
