Weigh in 7

Karina, I could really do with your advice on this one!

I lost 1.8 kg. I didn't mean to lose 1.8kg infact I ate over my points 5 out of the 7 days and I had a complete blow out Saturday night when I drank 3 mercury ciders, 1 smirnoff black and a diet coke and vodka... so hmmm!!! Totally confused. It just seems like my body has gone into 'burn fat' mode and is running with it (as I had a big loss last week), is that possible? Have I put my metabolism into gear? I also didn't do very much exercise last week. I walked to town a couple of days (which is a 40 minutes amble there and back) and I went on a huge walk yesterday (10 ks would be my guess), but that was because I woke up drunk and was trying to sober myself up without greasy food. I also missed my gym class (the high fat burning one) on Wednesday because I had a sore knee.

Anyhow, I'm not really complaining about losing 1.8 kilos - weight watchers says it's not so good, so hmmmm.... maybe I should ask this question on the forums, but at the same time I don't want to upset any people who are finding it hard to lose weight, especially since my complaint will  be about losing it too quickly.

Sooo I've finally made it under 70kg. YAY to me. No going back. If I ever EVER gain weight again, I will never go over 70kg! It's my too hard line.

Ah, I just had another thought. I just had my period and for some reason, each time I have one I drop a little bit of weight (like a kilo minimum - this is what happened last time I lost weight)... so I guess it could be a comination of good eating and a weird shedding of the crap.

Going wardrobe crazy

So I went to my favourite shopping boutique (Target *grins*) today as I had to buy new work trousers. So I thought 'hey, lets try the 14s' (that was what I was about a 1.5 yrs ago), and they fitted! I suspected that the target mirrors were made to make people look fecking skinny, so as soon as I got home I put the trousers on again and made my fiance scrutinise with me (he reckoned they looked hot), so I went into the bathroom to look in my own mirror and... I looked exactly like I did when I tried them on in Target. Freaky!!! I obviously have a very bad image of how I look. This resulted in me going mental and trying on everything in my wardrobe that I haven't been able to wear for awhile because they are too tight. I fit back into most of that wardrobe... YAY!!! There is a dress in there that I just don't quite fit into (my stomach is just a bit sticky outy too muchly), but I wore it for my birthday in 2006 and I'm planning to either wear it at my next birthday or even not to wear it because I'll be awesomely hot and too skinny for it!!!

So YAY for awesomness. I also am going to a hens night tonight and now I have nice clothing to wear. Woot!!!

I resisted teh chocolate cake and blueberry cheese cake! YAY! It was difficult but I just had to remind myself that a) it's not so great in my weight loss journey and b) it has gluten and did I really want to break out in really bad eczema again! Thankfully I said a big 'NO' to both those statements.

I have to miss the gym this week - which is rather unfortunate, but my feckin' knee has been aching for the last couple of days and I just don't want to hurt it anymore and be out for longer. I'm so incredibly sad about this (heh, can you believe it!?), I love this gym class and I hate missing it!

In other news, tomorrow is Show day and so I get a public holiday. I'm gonna spend the day with my friend Mad. Should be good!!! I'm thinking gluten free, weight watcher friendly nachos YUM!
Mmm I should get back to work. Motivation is slightly lacking (5 hours until I can go home).

Weigh in 6

I have got to stop stressing about my weight. I lost -.6kg! YAY! So now I'm 71.3kg and it's no accident. I've worked hard (minus a couple of few norty days this week mostly lol) for this weight loss! I am a champion! My BMI is 25.87, and to make it 24.97 I need to lose another 2.5kg. I've lost 4.4 what's another two :D.

When I started weight watchers, I was in complete despair about my weight. Earlier in the year (May) I weighed 78.8kg, but I was killing myself with exercise. I was walking for almost 2 hours every morning and going to the gym. My gorgeous fiance Luke just couldn't understand why I wasn't losing weight (well I obviously managed to lose 3.1 between May and September) but nothing like what weight watchers does. It obviously, for me, was about diet, how i was just eating the wrong things (or high fat things) and often I just didn't realise. It's so important to keep a food diary and to consciously make decisions about how I'm eating.

71.3 kilos! I'm just so very proud of myself. 8.3 kilos to goal :)

Here is a treat for all you bloggers of mine. A photo of me from the toga party (Pandora is the name) - heh, I'm starting to look gorgeous *wink*

Shiteful really

Shit! Shit! Shit! I've really sabataged myself this week. It'll be a miracle if I manage to NOT gain wait. Gluten free muffin break muffins are 6.5 points and they're bloody tiny. Can't believe it!!! If that was all the bad this week then I wouldn't mind so much. But I've hardly drunk water and I've gone over my points just a few too many days this week (where I normally wouldn't). Aaand I'm about to hit that time of the month (Monday) so I'm rather pissed!!! PISSED at myself.

Starting right this second. I'm going to get back into my normal weekly routine. Lose a kilo and I seem to lose all motivation to behave.

Thursday night

Hmmmm. I had a rather 'learning' night about myself. Firstly, I went to a friend's birthday party who was having a mexican toga party... don't think about the link it'll hurt your brain :). Anyhow, they decided to have nachos (yep scary points if done the old fashioned way - which they did), however, being a gluten intolerant vegetarian has its advantages - I brought all my own food :D. I cut up corn wraps (2 points) and baked them in the oven to reassemble chips. I added mexican chilli beans (1.5 points), laughing cow cheese (.5 points), sour cream (.5 points) and avocado dip (theirs because they didn't seem to want fresh avocado)... not sure on the points there, I had allowed for 2 points for fresh avocado so it can have those points. So all up that is 6.5 points unless I missed something. I really noticed how healthy and fresh my ingredients were (I also brought salad and tomato but noone touched them), I'm already starting to think healthy with my meals without too much thought. I'm incredibly proud of myself.

What I am not proud of. Tequila! Tequila! Tequila! They made margaritas and it appears I give in to peer pressure... even though I explained I was incredibly full. So I had 3 margaritas - but they were made with ice, tequila, frozen berries, and sprite zero so I'm not sure how much the pointages are there and I 'chose' (ran at) the smallest glass. I just can't find how many points tequila are - otherwise I would know how much I went over by.

A friend also gave me gluten free chocolate cake. I tried not to eat the icing because that tasted really rich and sweet - where as the cake resembled the muffins I made the other day so I allowed myself 6 points for that (based on google searching and finding an average *sigh*). Most of my friends are incredibly skinny and don't have a problem with food. So I'm going to have to be very direct with them and tell them to stop tempting me because while they think they're being sweet (and they really are good people), they just need to understand what I'm trying to do for myself.

Weigh In 5

Ah, I lost weight. I lost a lot of weight... -1.2kg. I'm now 71.9, which means I can now ring up to do my motorbike license. Yep achieved my second goal!!!

To be honest, I'm a little confused. I don't understand why I lost so little in the past 2 weeks (i.e. 700g) but when I have a real munchy week and feel like eating everything in sight (but managed to stick to my points), I lose over a kg - which the weight watchers site told me was too much... but I'm not too concerned 3.8kg over 5 weeks really isn't anything to be concerned with. However, I'm still confused *laughs*, but happy! I officially weigh what I weighed when I met Luke (and then lost 5 kg on my own).

I'm trying to think what I did well this week... exercise? I went to the gym twice and walked for 3 hours on Friday (just cos I could), and walked to the city Saturday, walked in the reserve on Sunday (the reserve walk was how I lost my 5kg last time - I adore that walk it's all bushland and hills).

Otherwise I snacked like a crazy person. Ate out a fair bit, but I did eat variety which is something I haven't really done since I started ww and I was really careful with my gluten intake (I'm a norty gluten intolerant person who eats gluten on occasion).

Eeeee!!! Next goal 1.9kg away. Goal= 8.9kg away. Woot! I'm gonna get there. I just might even make 70kg before christmas.

*le sigh* must behave myself much better tomorrow...

So I've had a rather norty day when it comes to eating. I stuck to my 20 points but made bad choices. My day consisted of:

Breakfast (3.5):
  • Gluten free bread with lemon butter.
Morning tea (5.5):
  • 2 gluten free biscuits
  • herbal calomile tea
  • cheese
Lunch (4):
  • gluten free pasta
  • veggies
  • 1 tbs mayonnaise
Afternoon tea (3):
  • 2 more biscuits (*sigh* I ate these cos I was feeling bored and stressed. I should have just got myself a bottle of water and went outside for some fresh air from work)
Dinner (4 ):
  • salad - free points and olives
  • WW chips (another bad choice)
  • skinny cow icecream
Normally I wouldn't snack on high sugar foods so I guess I was being rather snacky.

It's only Wednesday but I'm expecting a gain next week. I just feel heavy and eww. I suspect my body is reacting to the fact that I haven't stopped taking the pill for this month yet. I'm about a week over, but I wanted to get back into a 4 week cycle by taking one set of blisters. I also need to start exercising more. I am curious to know exactly how little exercise I do in a day. I think I'm going to be fecking terrified when I find out the answer. I'll be buying a perdominter this weekend so I can see what I'm doing.

Otherwise I'm still tracking, but want kitchen scales! And I'm just generally gonna keep at it... although I feel like people keep tempting me by eating noodle box in front of me or inviting me out for drinks. We'll see how the weekend goes.

weigh in 4: 73.1

So I  lost .3 g... I'm not sure but I seem to be slowing down. It was .4 last week and this week .3 - it's still a loss and I know Friday night (couple of drinks and chocolate) put me over my points so that might explain why I didn't have a stella loss this week. Also, because my partner is injured and he insists on walking with me, I haven't been able to get the speed I normally do in a walk - shame! I just might have to get up early tomorrow morning and go for a 'speed' walk.

Otherwise things are good. I tried on a jacket that didn't fit me 3 weeks ago (isn't that crazy), and it actually fit! It was a tiny bit tight, but it didn't look tight and the fact that I could button it up without it looking all stressed was fabulous! I also put on the same dress that I wore 3 weeks ago and I've lost so much weight from my bust that it no longer sits right *sigh*, it's gonna mean new bras isn't it? Bloody expensive they are.

At the party I went to people started measuring people's bust size - I have no idea why - but anyhow mine was 97cms which isn't so bad except we also measured the boys' chest and they were bigger than me... my boobies aren't small (14-16D) so I feel sad *laughs*.

Oh I also bought my shoes *grins* they are smexy. I should totally put photos of them on here.

1.1kg until next goal - god I can't wait to get my motorbike license!

Stomach is shrinking!

I think I need to start eating lighter lunches. I think my stomach has shrunk somewhat. The last few days I have felt like I've eaten waaaay too much stuff. Maybe a disgusting gluten free sandwich might be the way to go... god I hate gluten free bread, but i could hide the taste with mustard and cheese. Plus, it's getting warmer so I'm not feeling like warmer foods as much anymore.
:)
