Thursday night

Hmmmm. I had a rather 'learning' night about myself. Firstly, I went to a friend's birthday party who was having a mexican toga party... don't think about the link it'll hurt your brain :). Anyhow, they decided to have nachos (yep scary points if done the old fashioned way - which they did), however, being a gluten intolerant vegetarian has its advantages - I brought all my own food :D. I cut up corn wraps (2 points) and baked them in the oven to reassemble chips. I added mexican chilli beans (1.5 points), laughing cow cheese (.5 points), sour cream (.5 points) and avocado dip (theirs because they didn't seem to want fresh avocado)... not sure on the points there, I had allowed for 2 points for fresh avocado so it can have those points. So all up that is 6.5 points unless I missed something. I really noticed how healthy and fresh my ingredients were (I also brought salad and tomato but noone touched them), I'm already starting to think healthy with my meals without too much thought. I'm incredibly proud of myself.

What I am not proud of. Tequila! Tequila! Tequila! They made margaritas and it appears I give in to peer pressure... even though I explained I was incredibly full. So I had 3 margaritas - but they were made with ice, tequila, frozen berries, and sprite zero so I'm not sure how much the pointages are there and I 'chose' (ran at) the smallest glass. I just can't find how many points tequila are - otherwise I would know how much I went over by.

A friend also gave me gluten free chocolate cake. I tried not to eat the icing because that tasted really rich and sweet - where as the cake resembled the muffins I made the other day so I allowed myself 6 points for that (based on google searching and finding an average *sigh*). Most of my friends are incredibly skinny and don't have a problem with food. So I'm going to have to be very direct with them and tell them to stop tempting me because while they think they're being sweet (and they really are good people), they just need to understand what I'm trying to do for myself.
